CHOLESTEROL SCREENINGS

Mercy Health System is offering full lipid panel cholesterol screenings in the month of February and March. This important screening is only $10 per person. Screening times are limited and you must call to schedule your appointment ahead of time. High cholesterol levels are a significant risk factor for heart disease. A full lipid panel screening-also called a lipid profile or complete cholesterol test-is a group of blood tests that measure the amount of cholesterol and triglycerides in your blood. A cholesterol test helps determine your risk of atherosclerosis, the buildup of plaques in your arteries that can lead to narrowed or blocked arteries. If your cholesterol levels are high, you probably won't have any signs or symptoms, so a full lipid panel test is important. For a list of dates and times of screenings go online www.MercyHealthSystem.org.
